The information listed on this page is derived from and referenced to the Report Of Special Study that was created in 1963 after the 88th Congress of the United States ordered the Report to be created in response to the Stock Market Crash of 1962.
The Report was meant to display the problems associated with the Stock Market and the reasons why these short-comings caused the Crash in 1962. The Report was also meant to "issue recommendations as to how to correct those short-comings of the Stock Market so that this type of Market action would never happen again".
Unfortunately, "while the Report was extremely comprehensive in its disclosures of the problems associated with the Stock Market Crash of 1962", the recommendations that it supplied in order to keep the Stock Market from ever Crashing again were never implemented and thus we have had numerous Crashes since that time.
While I cannot post the entire Report on this and other pages do to the shear massive size of the Report--over 6000 pages in length--my intentions are to list specific information from the Report on specific issues. It will take a great deal of time in order to do this so I request your patience in this matter. The first four articles listed below are about the Report itself and some of the issues that it addressed. There will be much more information to follow as I continue to dissect the Report.
